Urban Decay – On the Run Palette

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about getting this. Given that there is a huge emphasis on browns in the Naked collection as a whole and having brown eyes I wasn’t sure it would be the right choice for me (and the reason why I tell myself I don’t need the palettes). As a self-confessed Urban Decay addict I just needed this On The Run Palette though. I just didn’t know how much.
It’s not just pretty
I’m not normally one to literally buy into good looks but I just had to have it, so come Christmas morning when Boyler got this for me I was ecstatic. I couldn’t wait to use it. I have used this nearly every single day for a month. It makes doing my make-up so much quicker – we know what that means – more time in bed on these horrible wintry mornings.

I take this everywhere with me
It has everything for a great work look, subtle but you can bring it with you in your handbag and jazz it up for after work. I’m still getting the hang of using blush in general – one dab too many without blending and you’ll look like a clown! This one is quite forgiving though when using the right type of brush.

It contains 6 new shades of eyeshadow (including the huge 5050 for highlighting too) – Taken from their site – Dive (metallic rose w/golden micro-shimmer), Fix (soft taupe matte), Resist (medium metallic taupe), Dare (medium brown matte), Stun (metallic bronze w/light gold micro-shimmer)

It also contains a full sized lip gloss called Sesso (I love how it looks on me and goes great over darker shades!) and one of their amazing 24/7 Eye Pencils in Stag. To finish your look off it also includes Perversion. I had heard mixed reviews about Perversion and was quite skeptical about it – so much so I only used it the other day for the first time. While the formula is good, it would be up there with their other offerings, the brush just annoys me so I won’t be getting much use out of it unless in a mascara emergency!

First day using it – Christmas Day

Do you need this in your life – Ultimately yes, yes you do. I wouldn’t be without it and am already dreading running out of 5050 and the bronzer for contouring. The good news is it won’t completely break the bank at €44 I consider it good value if you were to take each element individually (okay, I know Urban Decay is a bit of a rip off for certain things…) but still.

You can get it for €44 in Debenhams or use any Beauty Points you may have towards it!

Do you love Urban Decay? Or the Naked Collection?
Do you have a certain brand you just have a weakness for? Would love to know in the comments below.

Hope you have a great weekend!
