I cannot believe I am married! What a crazy rollercoaster! It’s gone by so fast and we’re still trying to process that the event we have been planning for the past 3 years is over! It was such an amazing day and everyone was completely right saying it will just fly by!
I wanted to showcase all the wonderful people who helped our day become reality and brought it to the next level.
Our photographer. From the moment he arrived, David was on the ball and snapped everything and more. He knows exactly what he is doing and knows what the couple needs more than they do. We had so much fun with our photos. Aside from the posed photos, David captured every moment, so much so we didn’t even need a videographer – or even know he was there snapping away. I seriously cannot thank David enough for all his hard work. David does weddings and events nationwide and has different packages to suit everyone.
While Fiona came in pretty late on in the planning – just last November – we weren’t sure how much we could achieve – but we did it! Fiona does alternative weddings but is also a planner so can make anything happen. Fiona was key in creating our Marvel theme and tying it all together.
One thing I hadn’t thought of was who was going to set up our candy buffet and put out all the details on the day – believe me we had no spare time – luckily we had Fiona on hand. The whole week lead up Fiona was on call for me and calmed me down when I stressed out. I couldn’t ask for more – even the morning of – everyone kept saying how calm and collected I was – one of the main reasons for this was because I knew I had Fiona there in case of any emergencies.
What’s a bride and bridesmaids without some accessories? I know Lynda quite well at this stage so I knew I’d be picking up a few bits from her for my wedding. We met up last year to go through some ideas and 3 hours later I left with a full collection, I got my girls clutches as their gifts and I’m so glad I did. We also got gorgeous little shoe clips which just added a little more Marvel, again in a subtle way.
Having my shoes furnished with both mine and my fiancé’s favourite comic superheroes (one on each) was an incredibly personal touch. It elevated me, even in my 5 inch heels and made me feel like I could be the superhero for the day. The detailing was brilliant and it didn’t tarnish or peel at all, it still hasn’t after a few more wears in the past 10 weeks either, even with our unplanned encounter outdoors for some photos they have held up amazingly well. I’m definitely going to get Fi to do some more of my shoes 🙂
I don’t even know where to being with Agatha. She is absolutely incredible. Not just with the sugar work you see above but with the flavours and combinations she put together. On our first meeting with Agatha, she pulled out her inspiration folder and had the exact photo of a cake that I had found on Pinterest, job done.
Then on to the flavours, we had some crazy ideas which Agatha encouraged but in the end didn’t work out but we ended up with three wonderful tiers, one red velvet with white chocolate ganache, the next vanilla with lemon buttercream and the top tier was a gorgeous mocha cake. It did not last long. Everyone complimented how amazing it looked but also asked when we returned to Dublin if there was any left! We will definitely use Agatha for future cake needs!
So that’s just a little snippet in to our wedding and the suppliers who made it all possible!
