So as of late my blog mojo has been under the weather due to tiredness & work loads. While this is still the case the longer I leave it the less routine & discipline I have to keep going.
A fellow blogger Caitriona told me recently that most blogs don’t make it past either 6 weeks or 6 months and I don’t want to fall into that category as I have plenty of ideas and I find this a nice outlet to get them out there.

To get myself back into routine I thought I’d do a mini series about recent products/places I’ve been which have blown me away in one way or another.

The Village at Lyons – I was lucky enough to have been gifted a night’s b&b with dinner here, the venue /rooms & location are absolutely stunning but unfortunately that was where the amazement ended. Our food was very mediocre (even for veggie standards) and undercooked/almost raw pasta is criminal.

Pepper Grill – This place is not too far out of town, in the Bram Stoker Hotel in Clontarf, while I knew Peter Clifford, the owner & head chef through Twitter, this place truly amazed us with every item on the “great evening” checklist ticked off, this meal for both my fiancé and I has made into our top 5 of all time & we’ll definitely be back again!

The Lo-cal Kitchen – based out in Phoenix Park Racecourse this is a gem. Fantastic bright and airy cafe, lovely healthy options & great coffee. It’s very reasonable too! What more could you want!

Kaph – I’ve been here a few times recently & always looking for a reason to go back. You’re always met with a smile from the baristas & conversation if you’re looking for it. Great for remote working as you can hide away upstairs and let the world pass by without distraction.

Zaragoza – I’d heard fantastic things about this place & jumped at the idea of going. I love Spanish culture & their food, Zaragoza is said to have been the closest things to authentic tapas you get here in Dublin. Sadly it didn’t wow me, the food was good very regional, I just don’t think anywhere will beat actually being in Spain & experiencing tapas the way they should be!

Has anywhere blown you away recently? Or let you down? I’d love to know, am always looking for new places to try!
