Paese Cosmetics

Last Saturday I attended the #irishbbloggerfun organised by the wonderful Anita from Anita’s Beauty Spot, blogger meetups and events are a fantastic way to meet new people and this event didn’t fail. It put a name behind many beauty bloggers and a few brands too.

Paese Cosmetics was one of them. Their director Martha was on hand to showcase their new nail polish collections. I know of the brand through dolledup.ie and it’s a very affordable cosmetics range (prices from €3.95-16.99) with this nail collection at the €4.99 mark.
140 shades to choose from!
As I chatted to Martha about the brand and her ethos I was really drawn in by her attention to detail and not to fail on quality over price. Her cosmetics are very pigmented along the lines of Urban Decay so I’m told, and I’d believe it as I reach for the Paese Micellar Water to remove my heavy eye looks (using Urban Decay shadows). The new nail collections are not ones to let the brand down.
My starting point with Paese
378, 367
I received 3 full size 9ml samples including the two above and I couldn’t wait to try them out. I first tested one coat for a full day which you can see below (photo taken 24hours after application, before second coat)

I absolutely adore 367, it’s a matte shade but with pearl extract so it’s not too shiny but the matte just makes it such a transition shade for autumn or perfect nails for work if you don’t want to go too adventurous but don’t want to stick to complete nudes all the time.
I was really impressed with the lasting power as unlike Essie or other more expensive brands, this didn’t wear or chip within the 24 hour test which is unheard of for me!
The polish itself is a little on the runny side but I found that great as it just swept over the nail no problem. In the second photo, my fourth finger actually has a turquoise mint colour underneath but you’d never tell!

I’ll definitely be checking out some of the other colours and some of the make-up too as I’m looking for a more affordable mineral powder at the minute.

Have you heard of Paese Cosmetics? Have you tried anything from the range?
Would love to know your thoughts in the comments below!
