Ballymaloe Literary Food & Wine Festival – Litfest 2014

May 16th-18th saw Ballymaloe House & Cookery school host the second year of Ballymaloe Literary Food and Wine Festival – or Litfest for short (cuz it’s quite a mouthful!). I was lucky enough to come back from holidays on Friday and head down on the Saturday morning.
We headed to the Big Shed (no exaggeration, it’s huge!) as soon as we got there and the atmosphere was electric, the weather helped of course. Really family & pet friendly, saw a few dogs having a wander too!
The Big Shed was full of local and artisan producers, some interesting products along with some of the Litfest Fringe events taking place on the stage & the Kerrygold area with demos from some well-known food bloggers.
There were events of every kind, talks, demos, foraging, tastings and people from all walks, from newbie bloggers (like me), producers, entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, chefs and food heroes and the local people came along of course! I’ll keep this short enough and show you some of the pics from the weekend!
Definitely recommend going next year (15-17th May 2015) if you can!
